I went to art school at UTSA. Starting at the San Antonio Art Institute in 1986, I have been teaching art for 35 years. I love helping students learn about art and how to make it. I also love being a successful studio and commercial artist.

Kimberly grew up surrounded by art, from the endless supplies provided by her mother to afternoons spent learning in her great aunts’ studio.  Her high school did not offer art as a class, so she took as many as she could in college. She has enjoyed teaching middle school art for the past 14 years.  She loves to be out in nature or creating art alongside her son.

I'm so excited for my 7th year at ISA to continue sharing my love of art and learning! Prior to joining the ISA family, I taught middle school art for 2 years in Southwest ISD.  In 2016, I finished my Master of Education in Educational Leadership at Trinity University, where I graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2013 and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art in 2012.  I've exhibited my work in both San Antonio and Austin and it has been published in The San Antonio Express-News, San Antonio Current, and recognized in Art in America.
